What should my emergency preparedness kit contain?
The type of survival kit your select will be entirely dependent on your personal needs. At the very least, every home should have a few basics. These items will be especially helpful in the event of a power outage of any sort, especially if you are unable to leave your home due to weather or safety reasons. How Do I Place an Order?
Placing an order can be done quickly and easily on our website, by adding the products you would like to order "to your cart" and then "checking out." During the checkout sequence, you will have the chance to input your billing info, your customer's shipping info, and any other specifics. After you have successfully submitted your order, you will immediately receive a confirmation number, and an email receipt.

American Emergency Kits orders can be paid for using a valid debit/credit card through our secure online payment gateway checkout. You may also order by phone.
How soon does American Emergency Kits ship out orders?
We are dedicated to shipping all orders we receive as fast as possible. We usually ship all orders within 48 hours but we usually claim 2-5 business days just to be safe.
Which shipping providers does American Emergency Kits use?
At this time, American Emergency Kits ships all orders less than 150 pounds via UPS. Orders over 150 pounds are considered freight, and will ship via the best method available. For these orders, the American Emergency Kits team will follow up with you directly after your purchase to verify individual details.
What is the Shelf Life of Your Kits?
The shelf life of our products will differ depending on the product. The shelf live for each kit is listed on the description page of product. Most of our Emergency Food Supply Kits are designed to last 20 or more years. Our emergency survival kits can last for much longer given you replace any of the food and water once they expire in about 5 to 6 years.
What Type of Payments do You Accept?
We accept credit cards (Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover), checks and purchase orders. We also accept purchase order from schools, municipalities, government agencies, police and fire departments, public institutions, and industrial and commercial companies. If you are an international customer outside of the U.S and Canada wire transfers only.
Can you build a custom a kit for me?
Yes. We can design a custom kit that meets your specific needs and requirements. If you would like to have specific items in your kit, please let us know and we will give you a custom quote for your kit.
Do you offer volume or bulk discounts on orders?
Yes. Please all, email or call us with the items and quantities you are interested in and we will get you a written quote.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Our American Emergency Kits website is set-up to only handle orders shipped within the United States and Canada via UPS or USPS. Please note that all customs, duties, taxes and fees are the responsibility of the customer or receiving party. If you would like to ship to any other country, please call or email us for a shipping quote. Some of products have restrictions and cannot be shipped outside of the U.S.
What is your return policy?
Customer satisfaction is very important to us. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us for a return authorization. You can get a full refund or exchange less the shipping costs within 30 days. There is a restocking fee of 15% on all returns. Customers are responsible for return shipping charges.
Do you manufacture your own products?
No. All of our products come directly from their original manufacturer or distributor. We only sell the highest quality and well know brands. If you have a special request for a product you don't see, let us know.
Do you have a guarantee/warranty?
American Emergency Kits has a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. If there is an issue with product, contact us within 30 days of product receipt, and we will give you details on the return/exchange.
